The gap of selling a script and becoming a working screenwriter that makes a living is a LOT larger than anyone ever thought.

Nobody ever thought that selling a script or getting a movie made wouldn’t lead to the next job. It seems like an obvious element of your monumental achievement. Hell, you had a movie made. What’s next?
See… I always thought selling a script or getting a movie made would make it easier to get your next project set up. Make it easier to make a living. To get signed. To open up some new exciting doors because you broke the odds. At least, make it easier to do shitty movies and make a living. No. This is a fallacy. Each project is its own war, and getting it made, unless it’s for a reoccurring deal or marketplace or studio who’s given you several pictures, means you’re back to square one. With a bag of money and some IMDB credits. Which is great. Don’t get me wrong.
But we are seeing something that nobody thought possible now…
