Sometimes, it’s important to remember exactly what a screenplay really is.
It’s a story, designed to be turned into a movie or tv show.
It’s not a stand-alone story on its own, neither is it a sterile blueprint.
When you remember what a screenplay really is, you might start recognizing what ideas actually lend themselves better to our art form. Some stories work better as novels, short stories (stories that are meant to be on the page, and only the page). This is a fact. I have read some screenplays in which a to of the core concepts did not translate to the imagination. Screenplays need to be visualized, and performed by actors, and showcase dynamic scenes and imagery to be shot and blocked by a director and a production.
