In an unexpected 2023 plot-twist, all screenplays have effectively been shelved until the strike is resolved. How long will this go on for? I’m not sure; I haven’t seen the future. What does this mean for most writers?

Nothing. You should still be writing on spec, writing your passion projects and stories, ignoring what you’ll do with them after they’re done. Focus on the process. That’s the ticket to success, wealth and happiness. PROCESS over RESULTS. I repeat, the process (the writing) over (how am I going to get signed or sell this puppy).
