A small pet peeve of mine is reading scripts where the writer added all these rich details from their own personal life, but they don’t actually translate to the story at hand — thus, falling flat. On the concrete I should add!

It’s a small pet peeve of mine, because it’s not like I see this often. But often enough to write about it this morning. Here’s the thing, there’s a difference between bringing your thoughts on the world and on people and life to the page vs. bringing your actual life details.
