Good morning dear writers. As we’re finally in post on my new movie, I wanted to provide some tips for writing better scripts in 2025. Which isn’t era specific, but maybe a little bit based on changes in the industry and attention spans.

First off, writing shorter faster paced scripts is a MUST.

There was a time when I started where your script had to be 102 pages at least, or it felt unfinished. But most of the success stories with screenplays have been in the 91-96 page count. Weird, right? I personally sold a script that was 86 pages. I remember being inspired by this massive spec script, DEEPER, which now may star Tom Cruise, that was 86 pages and sold for 3m. So page count being lower is probably the right direction.
