So how do you stay in the game?
I spoke on this earlier. But I want to hammer it down. Because it’s not said enough. Realism sucks. Despite what anyone says about how hard it is to make it — there’s always opportunities. Spec scripts sell. Writers who don’t have a contact in the world find their way. Time and time again. The world and the industry is your oyster. This is always true. No matter what resistance you’ve faced.
It’s kinda like telling a kid that their dreams don’t matter. That’s cruel, man. And not true. So if you’re feeling like it’s impossible to make it in Hollywood and you’ve been working your tail off, you can’t listen to why the odds aren’t in your favor. You gotta put your blinders up.
