An anecdote about selling screenplays that might surprise you

Stuck inside because of the Los Angeles fire. Felt like waxing lyrical about writing and selling scripts. Here we go.

Good morning everyone. My city is burning. My family and I are safe. Thankfully. At the moment, I’m stuck indoors because of all the smoke in the air. So I felt like writing. Let’s compartmentalize for a moment, and get into it.

I wanted to share a little anecdote on selling spec scripts. I have written 17 of them. Yes, 17. Majority of them were written at Starbucks in Brentwood.

The one that was bought and turned into a movie was actually one of my least favorites!!!
